[bug-mailutils] gsasl support for version 0.6

HI,

I just spent an entire weekend trying to get the mailutils imap or pop daemons 
to  authenticate with  gsasl. I was wondering what the status is for sasl2 
support? I'm running a debian unstable box installed recently.
I've run into a number of problems that I've already resolved but with the 
help of a _seasoned_ linux programmer I found what I believe is proof that at 
least the pop daemon doesn't have support I need.

I'm working in a bank and I think that I could arrange for payment for 
support.

I would appreciate help.
