The buffer for RFC822 headers is limited to 256 bytes in mailbox/smtp.c line 699
I encountered errors because of this with a received: header that was
longer than 256 bytes.
The message ended up being transmitted with the offending header truncated
and a blank
line in the middle of the headers.
