Corruption happens from time to time, from several days to several weeks.
Three processes possible try to access the same mailbox. They are
mail.local and 2 two instances of imap4d.

mail.local is started from exim with  following config files:

I'm not sure if I know all details about the mailbox internal structure.
For example, there are such lines in the begining of the mailbox, which 
look like broken (i changed some internet adresses and cut down long 
encoded data):
