the standard mailx or that of mailutils...

This depends on the setting of `dot' variable. The same holds true
for mailx as well. However the default values for this variable
differs between the two implementations. I agree that they
should rather be the same.

These two surely are bugs. I'll fix them.

Noted. We definitely need a mechanism to generate
manpages from the texinfo or from --help output...
