The two questions are related. I've used mailutils under some decent
load, and the pop3 and imap4 servers are running on the GNU servers.
What's not ready about it is that we don't have a testsuite. There's
some major architectural reworking planned in the nearish future. And
there isn't a set of "simple" examples. That said, many of the
programs that come with it are simple enough (Like frm, and such) that
you can use that as example code.
