Thanks for the info. I'll have a look at some of them.

Yes, that's me. I also did some code cleanup and some other little
changes beyond virtual mail support. (None of my work went back into
gnu-pop3d which hasn't been updated in over 18 months. I have began to
fork that project -- my pop3d has a new name: virtualmail-pop3d or
vmpop3d or vm-pop3d for short.)
