I sent a patch to solve this problem over a week ago, but
it seems that it was never included, see

Also, my patch in 
http://mail.gnu.org/pipermail/lilypond-devel/2002-April/000757.html
wasn't included either.

Should I always send a separate copy of every patch to 
bug-lilypond or how should decrease the risk that a
fix that appears in an email is forgotten in the releases?
