I'm afraid you've got an old version lying around (.42), and a
GUIL_LOAD_PATH pointing there, see:

    11:51:10 address@hidden:~/usr/src/lilypond-1.5.43
    $ grep -s new_quanting $(find .)
    11:51:17 address@hidden:~/usr/src/lilypond-1.5.43
    $
