It works for me except for these two issues. I'm using MinGW-5.1.4 along with MSYS-1.0.11 pre-release builds that may be more up-to-date:
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=2435i.e. all files in "MSYS Base System" and "MSYS Supplementary Tools". In general I just followed the instructions here to get MSYS (and MinGW) working:
