I'm pretty sure the C++ compiler has no problem: for hpux{9,10,11},
libtool only enables static linking for CC, and uses -b for aCC.
Anyway, I tested that the patch lets the copy of cc on 10.00 that I have
access to, use -b, and pushed the patch.
