1.5... from sunfreeware.com.  I'm retrieving 1.5.8 now. Thanks for the pointer.

I'll try the VERBOSE option to isolate the specific test, and also try 1.5.8;
and let you know the results.

Hi David,

What architecture is your host machine?
Which version of libtool?  Have you tried 1.5.8?
Which test failed?  Have you tried:

  VERBOSE=1 make check TESTS="<name-of-failed>.test"

Send us the output of that if you can't figure out what went wrong.
