I think the original intention was to avoid recompressing the delta between the compressed tarballs... I just followed Gord's original convention without thinking
it through :-/
You're deltafying the actual tar files, we're deltafying the tar.gz file.We need to change this or stop doing xdeltas altogether. They are almost the same size as the distribution.
Agreed. Running xdelta over the uncompressed tarballs makes more sense. Feel
