Did you run "make install" before "make check"?
Yes I did. After encountering the error with 'make check' I tried to
run 'make install' and I was suprised to see that it went on very
well. I am sure things got properly installed since the songanizer
script using Libextractor's extract binary is working very fine. But
when I came back to the libextractor-0.5.13 directory where I had
untarred the tarball and did 'make check' things were still as bad as
before.
