Dear all,

now the IPv6 migration of ftpd has been pushed. Apart from
your testing there two immediate tasks left:

  * The formatting in "ftpd/ftpcmd.y" should now be updated
to follow GNU standards. Until now it is legacy formatting,
but I have inserted so many more or less ugly changes that
re formatting must be reworked. Better in a silent change
    without touching functionality.

  * Refactoring of "tests/ftl-localhost.sh", since there is much
    duplicate test evaluation in "IPv4", "IPv6", "IPv4-mapped-IPv6",
    as well as active/passive/epsv.

The lesson learned is that address family mapping is the least
portable in the variants of available INET stacks. It has caused
me almost as much labour as the other modifications, and I did
need five different systems to discover the pitfalls.

I am sending a copy to our recent friend Michal Mazurek in the hope
that he will report any problems for the embedded scenario, should
we happen to win his interest once more!

Best regards,
  Mats
