I would say that the development code does not display the
indicated output. Instead it states
ifconfig: unknown: unknown output format
A quick manipulation of "ifconfig/options.c" leads me
to suggest another error message:
$ ./ifconfig/ifconfig --format=unknown
./ifconfig/ifconfig: "unknown" is unknown output format
Thus exposing the format string delimited by quotes.
