Should we IPv6 enable 'ping', effectively making 'ping6' obsolete? Then
'ping' could have a -6 parameter to force IPv6-behaviour.
That is exactly what I had in mind, ping should detect if one is using
IPv6 or not, if so use it. -4 can be used to force IPv4 behaviour;
and as you suggest -6 for IPv6 behaviour.
