   This is good!  Considering how hard we work when we are under
   pressure before a release :-) wouldn't be better to release more
   often?  Four or six months look like a good time span between
   releases if there are enough changes to justify it, what do you
   think?

I don't like strict schedules, but making release more often is
something we'd all love to see, if we (means you, not us :-) work hard
fixing bugs, adding features etc, then someone (Lazy Jeff, Quiet
Sergey, and Nitpicky Alfred) will be more than happy to push out a
tarball and take the credit!
