hi,
i don't know if you are aware of this problem already but the ping
command which comes with the inetutils 1.4.1 package is not able to make
intervalls. e.g.
ping -i 40 www.heise.de
this is meant to sent a ping every 40 seconds. unfortunately it sents it
every second.
