Of course, will be happy to accept any cleanup for the telnetd.
The current daemon is a mess, for some good reasons however,
since it contains a sea of #ifdef to cope wiht many platforms.
But some of those plarforms are long time gone and I would not
mind to drop support for those for clarity 8).

Keep in mind though, that in some cases, a rewrite from scatch is a
better approach then to put order in chaos.
