Done.  And many thanks for taking the time to do this.
The changes should appear in the nightly cvs snapshots
(ftp://alpha.gnu.org/gnu/cvs/inetutils.tgz) or via
the cvs repository.  It also contain a verbose changelog entry
in inetutils/telnetd/ChangeLog 8-).
