Indeed.
At first look the commit [1] seemed to me to introduce a typo
FSHELP_DEFINE_EXTERN_INLINE instead of FSHELP_EXTERN_INLINE.

You mean using FSHELP_DEFINE_EI and FSHELP_EI ?
