Hi,
do you guys have any experience using HURD on VirtualBox? It is my last
resort currently to test a bit of hurd
1. original workstation which run HURD for 6 years: incapable of
reinstall: low memory and somehow incompatible with current GRUB (wrote
to GRUB ML, got no answer)
2. spare laptop: installs, but PCMCIA network card not recognize, could
try WiFi but don't know which/what tools to install to test
thus... 3. VirtualBox
Install went fine, system boots, network works. After a bit it stops
working reliable, I wanted to investigate more, but now the machine
stops booting. It did previously boot couple of times
I can boot in "recovery mode" with success, but if I reboot, I get as
far as the attached screenshot.
start ext2fs: Hurd server bootstrap: exec startup proc auth
I have seen this on my "old" box too, before I reinstalled it and got it
no longer working.
The CPU of the host goes up high, so it is stuck in some sort of loop.
