Hi, Gabriele Giacone wrote:
I did not.. however what i will try later tonight is to edit mtab and let the system boot without /home and see if it completes boot. Things should have improved, but my past year-long experience in Hurd is to have separate partitions: I intend to do a lot of compiling, incase of crash, I'll corrupt my home more likely than the rest, this is safer.Did you install it again on / and /home distinct filesystems? If so, try to reinstall it on "/" only. Plus, don't set any mirror so that install takes all packages from CD.
Also, if I can fix this installation, I'd prefer.. it took me two days to reinstall hurd: not continuously attented, but the operation was quite slow.. CD-ROM and HDD seem to be quite slow in access, especially the former.
I did install ONLY from the CD using the minimal set. I did not enable the network stuff at all!
