Well, this upload fixed the /libexec/rc and /bin/login permission
problems, and is built against a current glibc finally. So all the (to
my knowledge) remaining issues at hand should have been addressed.

However, it does not start the Hurd console by default yet.

Further, Guillem Jover has reported a problem with running the Hurd
console, which I have also seen in the past: The screen just blanks
after running the console command.

So it would be nice if this would get more testing. Note that this
package contains Marco's kbd and mouse repeaters from
http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/bug-hurd/2004-07/msg00136.html
and thus the Hurd console needs to be started as follows:

console -d vga -d pc_kbd --repeat=kbd -d pc_mouse --repeat=mouse -c
        /dev/cons /dev/vcs

Also, adding symlinks from /dev/cons/{kbd,mouse} to /dev/{kbd,mouse} or
adjusting XF86Config-4 is required for X to start properly.

If the issues with starting the Hurd console turn out to be unrelated
and no other issues appear, I guess the current state would be
appropriate for K7. We could then think about how to best integrate the
Hurd console on bootup and what else to do to harmonize the bootup with
the rest of Debian.
