By "the same thing", what do you mean precisely? Does it maintain the
difference between hurd_PROG_CC_WORKS and AC_PROG_CC_WORKS as described in
the comments in aclocal.m4?
Well, I can't find AC_PROG_CC_WORKS documented, but the changes should
still allow whatever cross compiling techniques you use. I guess you will
have to test this with an empty cross compiler tree. Are there
any particular parts of the patch you are worried will break an
emtpy cross compiler setup?
