Hello!

I've read Protocol Service Decomposition for High-Performance
Networking and it influenced on me much. I think it reasonable idea to
insert a thin network interfaces code into kernel (actually what
linux-src/net/core is). But it is far goal and somebody might not
accept it.

One of ideas in this library is that ip stack should be separated
library used by server and other application. So

1). I propose to move all linux code out of pfinet and make separated
 library with linux ip stack.

2). I propose to work with this code. Cut all unneeded code an update
  current code 2.4.

The problems we could have with porting to 2.4 are new netfilter. But
netfilter is used for firewall things that we don't need anyway.

Thanks,
