Details:

In the gv of Debian Sarge (3.6.1-10) the pages window doesn't
get adjusted after a <pgup> or <pgdn> to make sure that the
current page is in the visible area.

Furthermore, if the current page is too far away from the
range visible in the pages window and we do <pgup>s or <pgdn>s
we get a funny wraparound effect (shown in the screenshot below -
the current page is "100").
