Yes. Examples include “texlive-charter” (to replace
“texlive-fonts-charter”), “texlive-xypic” (to replace
“texlive-fonts-xypic” and “texlive-generic-xypic”), “texlive-xcolor”
(replacing “texlive-latex-xcolor”), etc.
Search for deprecated-package in tex.scm and you should find more
examples.
