guile 1.6.3 doesn't compile on Mac OS 10.2.x

Hi,

guile 1.6.x doesn't compile on Mac OS X.
I get the following error message:

eval.c:261: illegal external declaration, found `^'

It it most likely a which got introduced in a recent
version. Version 1.4.x compile on Mac OS X without any
problems.

Is there a patch available?
