Details:

The following program will not compile due to the 'forward' and 'backward'
definitions in both files:

---
#include <gsl/gsl_wavelet.h>
#include <gsl/gsl_fft.h>

int main() { return 0; }

gsl_fft.h:40: error: redeclaration of enumerator ‘forward’
gsl_wavelet.h:40: note: previous definition of ‘forward’ was here
gsl_fft.h:40: error: redeclaration of enumerator ‘backward’
