Details:
My current grub release is 2.06-2ubuntu7 from 'Ubuntu 22.04 Jammy Jellyfish'.
I transfer this issue from
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/grub2/+bug/1479516
Concerning the documentation for 'grub-install' :
Inside 'grub.info.gz' :
- Thank you very much for chapter '4.1 Installing GRUB using grub-install' :
This really provides useful information.
- But chapter '23 Invoking grub-install' is regrettably truncated : It
mentions only options --help, --version, --boot-directory, --recheck and
--no-rs-codes.
Inside the 'Manual page grub-install(8)' :
Many options are listed, but the description is much too succinct to be
useful.
Can you describe in detail all 'grub-install' options into 'grub.info.gz' ?
Can you fully replicate this information in the 'Manual page grub-install(8)'
?
Thank you in advance.
