Details:

Systemd-analyze can report how much time was spent at boot in firmware
initialization and the bootloader if the bootloader sets specific UEFI
variables (LoaderTicksInit and LoaderTicksExec) as described here:

http://www.freedesktop.org/wiki/Software/systemd/BootLoaderInterface

This feature is already supported by Gummiboot and appears to be popular.

Separately mentioned in the specification is the LoaderDevicePartUUID variable
which is not needed for systemd-analyze and, given that it can change how
devices are mounted by systemd at boot, should probably be considered
separately from the other two variables.
