Hello,
I have been using grub2 since version 1.97 and I've noticed a change in
behavior with 2.00_beta2 (I skipped 2.00_beta1). When Grub boots it
provides a menu which hides what kernels I have installed and places
them in a submenu (named advanced options). Currently, the only way for
me to disable that behavior is to rewrite /etc/grub.d/10_linux to
disable the functionality. However, I feel that given grub2's current
state hand modifying that file might cause it to become stale very quickly.
Therefore, I was wondering if it would be possible to add a
'GRUB_DISABLE_LINUX_SUBMENUS' variable to the script that if I set it to
true in /etc/default/grub I could get the old behavior of seeing all my
linux kernels at the top-level menu.
Thanks,
Nick Vinson
