Erreur fatale lors de l'installation de GRUB

Bonjour,
J'installe UBUNTU sur mon PC afin de découvrir ce système.
L'installation semble se dérouler correctement jusqu'à ce qu'arrive la phase finale de mise en place de GRUB.
Je vous livre ci-après les message concernant l'installation de GRUB à partir de la distribution UBUNTU 8.04.
Je ne sais pas ce qui se passe et je me retourne vers vous pour une éventuelle solution et surtout, comment faire pour ne pas devoir réinstaller la totalité de la distribution si vous me proposez une solution.
