Subject: | Grub works, but menu.lst is missing. Where is it? |
Date: | Sun, 27 May 2007 10:47:21 EDT |
I have a triple-boot system with WinXP, Fedora, and Solaris. It's been
working fine for a year. I just upgraded to Fedora FC6. Grub still works fine,
but now the grub menu entry for Linux points to the wrong filenames. If I do a
quick edit from the grub menu, I can get into Linux OK. But those edits don't
stick. So, now, it's time to make the change permanent. But I
can't find menu.lst! The only thing in /boot/grub is splash.xpm.gz.
Details: windows is on hd0,0; solaris on hd0,2,a; and linux on hd0,1.
The hardware manager lists the following partitions:
hda1 ntfs
hda2 boot
hda3
hda4
hda5 LVM2 member
hda6 ufs
hda7
hda8
hda9 ufs
Any suggestions?
thanks
