What other programs overwrite unallocated space? Besides fdisk and other
bootloaders?
Would it be better if I put a placeholder partition in the unallocated
space? I want to make sure that a stupid DOS user can't accidentally
delete the stage2 file with the "format" or "delete" command. However, I
want grub to look for the menu.lst in one of the DOS partitions.
I tried looking through the archives, but I can't find the discussion you
are referring to. Can you give me some pointers as to what to look for?
