Hi,
I would like to install grub into a file rather than a disk.
I've already created 2 partitions in the file and ext2
filesystems, and the appropriate grub files are in the /boot/grub dir
of the first partition.
I want to install stage 1 to the mbr and 1.5(ext2) to the
boot sector (I think).
So question is can I get the grub shell to do it
(it was giving an error that it couldn't probe the device),
or should I just dd the appropriate grub bits to the file?
btw I was able to get lilo installed by doing some fancy
losetup stuff, but grub should be much easier I think
since it doesn't need to write block locations.
Any ideas appreciated.
thanks,
Pádraig.
