Summary: Booting operating systems off removable media
Version: any?
Type: feature request
Message:
I'd like to make items in the grub menu which would allow me to boot from cd or
floppy. Right now I've disabled anything but first harddrive in my BIOS as boot
device, I've got the BIOS secured with a password, and every operating system
but linux secured with a password. I'd like to have password secured menu item
that would load the operating system from a floppy or cd. This way I wouldn't
have to change my BIOS-settings every time I try out knoppix or something else.
I tried hard to find how to do this, but could not find out if it is possible.
