Summary: Linux kernel fails to boot on keyboard-less system.
Original Submission: An Intel D815EEA motherboard without a keyboard generates
a BIOS "keyboard error" message on power up, but boots Linux (RH7.1 and RH7.3)
just fine when LILO is used. However, running GRUB results in the Linux kernel
hanging after printing,
apm: BIOS version 1.2 flags 0x03 (driver version 1.16),
and before printing,
Starting kswapd
Both the RedHat patched version of grub (0.91-4) and
vanilla grub-0.92 fail this way every time.
The current work around is to either run LILO,
or attach a keyboard (not a good option for large clusters).
