Is there a quick way of setting the next reboot from the command line?

To explain what I mean:
When I had lilo installed I would type "lilo -R dos" and then reboot
my machine. It would reboot straight into win98 without presenting any
prompts at bootup. This is a nice thing to do with the cron daemon at
early hours of the morning if you wanted to defrag or scandisk etc.
Once that is finished the pc would reboot itself again and return to
linux.

But all this depends on the crond being able to set the next reboot.
Can I do this with grub?
