Follow-up Comment #5:

This feature is analogous to bug #64071 (for file names) and bug #65108 (for
`system` and `pso` (and maybe `pi`?)).

I'm not prejudging how much common code these will use in implementation.  As
I recall, all wrap different standard C library functions, so maybe not as
much as one might assume.
