9 But I know that even after hisresurrection he was in the flesh;and I believe
that he is still so. 9 Lay aside therefore the old andsour, and evil leaven;
and be yechanged into the new leaven, whichis Jesus Christ. 9 If any man can
remain in avirgin state, to the honour of theflesh of Christ, let him
remainwithout boasting; but if he boast,he is undone. Considerwhat he means by
it; theSabbaths, says he, which ye nowkeep are not acceptable unto me,but those
which I have made;when resting from all things Ishall begin the eight day, that
is,the beginning of the other world.
6 I have no desire to live anylonger
after the manner of men;neither shall I, if you consent.
3 How that being
followers ofGod, and stirring up yourselvesby the blood of Christ ye

of God. IGNATIUS, who is also calledTheophorus, to the blessedchurch, by the
grace of God theFather, in Jesus Christ our Saviour;through whom I salute the
churchwhich is at Magnesia, near theMaeander: and wish it all joy inGod the
Father, and in JesusChrist.
15 Therefore in your concordand agreeing charity,
Jesus Christis sung; and every single personamong you makes up the chorus:16
That so being all consonantin love, and taking up the songof God, ye may in a
perfect unitywith one voice, sing to the Fatherby Jesus Christ; to the end
thathe may both hear you, and perceiveby your works, that ye are indeedthe
members of his son. And the land ofJacob was the praise of all theearth;
magnifying thereby thevessel of his spirit.
9 I salute him who shall bethought
worthy to be sent by youinto Syria. 9 Ye have never envied any one;ye have
taught others.
7 The deacons also, as beingthe ministers of the mysteries
ofJesus Christ, must by all meansplease ye.
