I have observed the same problem yesterday with Ubuntu Linux (Dapper Drake) on ppc. However bizarrely when I compile the application with 'debug=yes', the main model file loads fine when I launch the application.I can reproduce the problem with any applications by simply compile it with 'make' and trying to run it. I just got the error reported by Charles each time. The only exception is Gorm that loads fine with or without 'debug=yes'
Thanks ... I habitually use debug=yes, so I guess that's why I've been totally unable to reproduce the problem. To get the load failure, do you have to build the base library without debug or just the application?
