For what it's worth, I agree with those arguments. I have had the
same reasons to avoid ICU in the past.
I've had several bugs reported to me for LibIDN which turned out to be
bugs in ICU (last time a few days ago), so I also have greater
confidence in Bruno's code, and will try to start using some of it in
LibIDN.
