That is a really old version.  You should get a more recent 
version from www.gnucap.org .  There are some big differences 
in the development versions, so you should probably get the 
latest development version.

My guess is that when you made the config for Borland, you left 
out the file ap_convert.cc.

Obviously, it is there.  You need to add it to the project. 
Somehow it got left out.  I don't have access to Borland C++, 
so I can't tell you in more detail.
