It works for me.
Assuming you are new to linux/unix/etc...
The files *.md5sum are produced by running the "md5sum" on
the .tar.gz file. It produces a check sum that can be used to
verify that the .tar.gz file that you downloaded is good. If
the sums don't match, the file is corrupted, so you should
delete it and try to download again.
