Yes. The only study I am aware of was the Deprelli one and I personally do feel 
that there is a definite trend in the error rate that indicate that the 
even/odd ply effect has been reduced. But it was one study. I do remain 
optimistic that over a greater number of positions the trend would hold in bot 
play.
