I'm on Linux (Ubuntu 12.04), the version I have installed is:  gnubg -v

GNU Backgammon 0.90.0  May  1 2011 [installed from software center]

I can upgrade to 1.0 though and build manually though if that makes a difference.

Before I continue, it will make it easier if I know what platform you
are using (MS Windows, Linux etc). Are you using a version go GNUBG
built by someone else or are you building it yourself. What version of
GNUBG do you currently have installed?
