Hallo all,

I don’t want to disrupt the existing suggestions for other reviewing features but is it possible that a built in ‘take screenshot button’ could be added?

Off the top of my head, it would be nice if it popped up a ‘choose directory’ dialog and allowed you to automatically save a jpg of the currently selected move.

The user could then optionally rename the file by adding the type of problematic decision to the filename (below in caps)

i.e. BLITZING gnubg-human_7p_2013-04-27

or RACING gnubg-human_7p_2013-04-27

or PRIMING gnubg-human_7p_2013-04-27

or HOLDING gnubg-human_7p_2013-04-27

or BACKGAME gnubg-human_7p_2013-04-27

or CUBEACTION gnubg-human_7p_2013-04-27

If the screenshot is taken after running analysis then it would also show the ‘best plays’ for each reference position.

Eventually they would end up with a folder of problematic positions sorted by type of game plan strategy. They could save this folder of jpgs on their laptop, on their tablet or on their phone for review whenever they wanted, perhaps using Dropbox to sync new additions.

So it’s

1.      Press button to take screenshot

2.      Choose directory (or defaults to a previously chosen directory)

3.      Rename jpg file (if required)

What does anybody else think about this? Would it be a useful addition? Would it be very difficult to implement?

Cheers,
