Howdy,

I downloaded the Aug 11, 2009 snapshot onto a Debian Lenny (Stable) system
and built ./configure --enable-threads and it worked as expected.

When running it from the command line does Gnubg show an error message on
the console?

One thing I would try is going to Settings/Options/Database, then add a new
database (just for testing). I'd also make sure the DB Type is correct. Are
ou using Sqlite, mysql or postgres? Then click on the new database you
created and select OK. Now try seeing if adding a new match to the database
works. I'm trying to rule out a corrupt DB.

If that doesn't show any promise can you email me a copy of your config.h
and config.log (And the console output when it runs/dies).

Mike
